The Plano ISD Council of PTAs established the Special and Gifted Education committee to provide an opportunity for families and teachers of students who learn differently to share resources and friendship.
Whatever the challenge from ADHD to giftedness to Down’s Syndrome - all of these students have special needs and that translates into families who have special needs.
If you or someone you know has a child who participates in Special Education, the PACE (Plano Academic and Creative Education) program for gifted and talented students, or simply is an exceptional diverse learner, sign up for e-mail notifications of student and parent classes, events, and resources in the area.

The Special Friends Talent Show

Anything goes at this talent show for students in the special education program. When we say anything, we mean ANYTHING!
Whether your student wants to sing, dance, blow bubbles or just stand up on the stage and take a bow; we will cheer for each performer like they are a rock star! Join us for a time of celebrating your student and their amazing talent.
Two Shows: 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM

N. Dallas Gifted &Talented Alliance
Monthly Game Night for Families
At Plano's Dallas Games Marathon site:
930 W. Parker Rd Plano, TX 75075
Typically Second Saturday of the month (calendar) from 5pm-10pm.
No charge; however donations accepted to cover building expenses. You may bring a sack dinner / snacks, and snacks will be available to purchase.
Over 200 games from around the world or bring your favorite games and puzzles.
Volunteers needed (high schoolers & adults) to learn some of the games and then teach them to the younger players.
Perfect opportunity for NHS students, Boy Scouts, & Girl Scouts to build volunteer hours.
